Burlington United Football Club is a semi-professional soccer team that plays in the NPSL located in Burlington, North Carolina. 

If you are passionate and eager to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of sports management, operations, marketing, and sales? Burlington United FC is looking for enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our team as interns! You will have the ability to earn credits for school, gain valuable experience, and have an opportunity to join the staff in a much larger capacity.  We are embarking on our second season, and we are excited you are interested in this opportunity!

• Assist in creating engaging content for social media platforms.
• Monitor and grow the club’s online presence.
• Support marketing campaigns and fan engagement initiatives.
• Maintain social media on gameday.

• Help coordinate matchday fan and community events.
• Work closely with vendors, sponsors, and volunteers.
• Ensure all events run smoothly and professionally.
• Coordinate and execute halftime entertainment.
• Routinely manage the Kids Zone throughout gameday.

• Run and make real decisions that will impact game day operations
• Support team logistics, including training schedules and travel arrangements.
• Help maintain inventory and equipment.
• Provide administrative assistance to the operations team.

• Write press releases and create newsletters.
• Create postgame recaps, previews, and long form articles throughout the season.
• Assist with media relations and interview coordination.
• Support storytelling efforts to highlight the club’s impact on the community.

• Track merchandise inventory and assist with sales during home games and events.
• Collaborate on new merchandise designs for future use.
• Set up and lead merch stand during games.

• Create and edit photos capturing the gameday atmosphere for social media.
• Preferred to have a camera on hand.
• Create graphic designs and videos to be posted on various social media platforms.

• Must be able to work May 1, 2026 - Mid July 2026
• Have a passion for learning and developing real industry skills and knowledge.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Relevant academic background (preferred but not required).
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by management.
